The CRG team utilizes a mix of sophisticated automated assessment tools along with customized advisory services to help clients begin their journey to the Cloud.
Civic Resource Group announced the hiring of John A. Wheeler as President to guide the Company’s growth and expansion plan beginning Spring 2014. John will direct the development and delivery of new Cloud based products and services for the public sector, and oversee the Company’s expansion into new markets and territories. John is a highly successful entrepreneur and former senior executive with such technology heavyweights as Oracle, VMWare, ACS, SAP and others. As part of its expansion plans, the Company also recently opened a new satellite office for public sector Cloud product development and solutions delivery in Rancho Cucamonga in the heart of California’s Inland Empire.
Civic Resource Group recently completed the highly competitive “Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program” and officially joined the Goldman Sachs business network. CRG had to complete a rigorous 4 month program that focused on forward strategic business planning and execution in the new economic environment, including ramping up new markets, products and human resources. CRG is now an integrated part of the Goldman Sachs global business network, which is an important part of CRG’s 2014 growth strategy.
Civic Resource Group recently began work on an innovative data/asset management project for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro), the second largest transit agency in the nation. CRG is developing a first-of-kind web/cloud based Bus Stop Management System (BSMS) as a key component of Metro’s overall Bus Stop Usability Project which is being managed by TranSystems, a global transportation planning firm. The BSMS will utilize sophisticated mobile data and GPS technologies to collect and organize nearly 100 data points for each of Metro’s more than 25,000 bus stops. The BSMS is architected so that it can be easily expanded for other types of asset management including integration of other Metro datasets, and can be used to provide and collect data and information from public users of Metro’s transit system.
The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) in November launched a new, state of the art web portal providing information, documents, data and communications in an easy to use and integrated system. Civic Resource Group worked with SCAG executives and a broad range of stakeholders to produce the initial Digital Strategy for the portal including the organizational and work flow changes that would be required to successfully launch and maintain the new system. CRG then lead the design, development and implementation of the new portal including working closely with internal SCAG project staff and with other SCAG contractors for backend integration including SharePoint, document management, CRM, GIS/data portal integration, and other third party systems integration.
