Robert
B. McConnachie
Mr. McConnachie, Co-Founder and Managing
Director of Civic Resource Group (CRG), has more than 12 years
experience in the information technology industry. He brings to
Civic Resource Group both a wealth of high tech industry experience
and a unique perspective on the current challenges of technology
in the Civic sector. An experienced senior technology manager,
he has managed and directed numerous innovative and successful
technology projects including applications for government, educational
institutions, nonprofits and private industry. In his role as co-founder
and Managing Director of Civic Resource Group, Mr. McConnachie
has helped build CRG into a leader in providing management and
information technology solutions for the civic sector. He is technology
editor for the Journal of E-Government (Haworth Press) and has
led numerous research studies on best practices in electronic
government.
Prior to joining CRG, Mr. McConnachie spent
7 years at the Microsoft Corporation and was a key member of
the management team that launched MSNBC's Internet website and
24 hour News Channel, a joint venture of Microsoft and General
Electric - one of the first major media initiatives to pioneer
the convergence of Television and the Internet. While at Microsoft
he held several senior management positions including 2 years
at Microsoft's European Headquarters in Paris, France and worked
on a number of company strategic initiatives including the launch
of Microsoft's Solution Provider Partner Program, Microsoft's
entry into online advertising, and development of media business
partnerships including MSNBC, Slate, and MSBET.
Mr. McConnachie received an M.S. in Management
from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a B.S. from
the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). |
