CRG selected to lead innovative county water conservation collaborative

CRG was recently selected in a highly competitive bidding process to help lead the development of a multi-agency collaborative to help conserve water in San Diego County.  The program will incorporate the latest web based technologies including GIS and satellite imagery to enable property owners to more effectively manage their water consumption.  The project is part of a growing trend among public and private sector organizations to become more proactive in conserving use of natural resources.  The new system will dynamically integrate water usage data from over 20 Water Districts and will be made accessible via the web.  Key features of the web system include a water budget calculator that incorporates statewide government guidelines for water usage by private industry.  The lead Agency, the San Diego County Water Authority (SDCWA) is a recognized national leader in promoting a safe and reliable water supply to the regions $150 billion economy.
