Los Angeles County launches new intelligent alert and notification system

The largest county in the country went live with a new web based intelligent alert and notification system developed by CRG. The system disseminates accurate and timely information to County residents about Los Angeles County public projects and major events that may impact their neighborhoods, travel, transportation, and recreation. The new system serves approximately 10 million residents with notifications that are subscription-based via the web, phone or PDA’s. Available on the county’s website the e-mail and web based services allows quicker distribution to a growing number of Internet-savvy constituents who increasingly demand personalized and timely information. The project has been identified as one of the top 3 priority E-Government projects for the County of Los Angeles and is scheduled to be standardized as a platform county-wide.
